Ta Nei Temple is one of the less popular and less visited temples located in the northwest corner of the East Baray reservoir in the Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap, Cambodia. It is hidden amid a thick jungle and can be reached by unpaved winding roads.
It is a small temple built in the 12th century, with lots of ruins and boulders strewn about. There seems to be some restoration going on, but not much. There are some well-preserved walls with Apasra statues and decorative columns.
And like Ta Prohm, the location of the Laura Croft: Tomb Raider movie, there are giant banyan trees with roots spreading over the ruins.
It’s quite tempting to be a DIY tomb raider!
Have a look!
