Oh Happy Day!

This morning’s sunrise (March 4, 2018) reminded me of the gospel song, “Oh Happy Day!” by Edwin Hawkins (sung by Edwin Hawkins, Lynette Hawkins Stephens and the Edwin Hawkins Singers) which goes this way:

Oh happy day (oh happy day)
Oh happy day (oh happy day)
When Jesus washed (when Jesus washed)
When Jesus washed (when Jesus washed)
When Jesus washed (when Jesus washed)
He washed my sins away (oh happy day)
Oh happy day (oh happy day).

Edwin Hawkins is considered to be one of the originators of the urban contemporary gospel sound. “Oh Happy Day” was popularized (at least to me) by the movie, Sister Act II.

Sunrise, November 26, 2017

I didn’t have much chance to do photography the last couple of weeks because of illness. Hopefully, I will bounce back soon.

But the sunrise yesterday as seen from my balcony was just gorgeous. I had to rise from my bedrest and endure the pain just to take these pictures.

Happy Earth Day!

Short morning walk – April 1, 2017

I wake up very early in the morning (at about 4 am or even before that) to prepare for and drive to work in another state, about an hour’s drive away.

So no matter how I wish I to spend more time in bed on weekends, I am already awake by early morning.

What to do? Last April 1 early morning, I looked out the window – and lo and behold – the weather was actually nice. The sun just started to peek out of the horizon. I just had to run to the beach to take some photographs. I know that I was already late but, the colors were still incredibly beautiful.

My my my it’s a beautiful beginning of a day …

I really needed to get out …

… even if it was snowing heavily.

Snowy Walk

First significant snow fall this season … just got to do that walk. It wasn’t that bad or cold. It was in fact, beautiful.

Sunday Photowalk

Having cabin fever cooped up in the apartment.

So instead of working, I took a walk on the beach, despite the wind and the cold but the sun was shining though. It was a nice brisk walk from Thorndale to just about Foster Ave. Beach and back with plenty of photo stops. Took me about an hour. Surprisingly, lots of people were up and about, probably they felt the same way as I did.
