It’s that time of the month again, when members of the Drink and Click(TM) Chicago group meet up for a themed photoshoot. This month’s theme is silhouette and what better time and place to do it but on Montrose Point at sunrise, gathering at 4:45 AM to shoot the rising of the sun at 5:15 AM?
We might have been a little bit cranky because of the very early start (some of us have vampire-like lifestyles) but there was another group there, the Art of Chi Instagram group that kept us entertained and provided us with lots of opportunities to shoot their silhouettes.
And of course the usual fishermen who looked at us with perplexed expressions.
The drinking part (which was really just coffee and soda) was at the Golden Pancake House in Uptown.

Headshot walk, Drink and Click Chicago
April 29, 2017
Drink and Click’s theme this month’s (March) is historical landmarks. The Chicago group originally planned to photograph Old St. Patrick’s Church in the West Loop but it was closed last Saturday (March 24), so we moved to the Union Station which is undergoing extensive renovation. Later on, we walked to Marina City and photographed from the 43rd and 46th floors. Although the towers are not officially landmarks, they are historical being both the tallest residential buildings and the tallest reinforced concrete structures in the world when they were completed in 1964.
February’s Drink and Click® Chicago shoot was at the Riverwalk to fulfill the theme ‘bridges.’ February 10, 2017
The Drink Part was at the Side Bar on LaSalle.
The Click Part was at the River Walk. Here’s the group shot courtesy of Tom Tran.
The rest of the shoot:
Part two of last week’s Drink and Click® Chicago’s macro photo shoot in Lincoln Park. We spent much time at Lincoln Park’s Conservatory peering at the private lives of ferns, orchids, and various other plants.
These are the photos I took at the Orchid Room of the Conservatory.
On Saturday, Jan 28, Drink and Click Chicago group’s macro shoot (February theme) was at Lincoln Park – Lincoln Park Conservatory, Lincoln Park Zoo and then at RJ Grunts. These were taken at Lincoln Park Conservatory’s Fern Room. The rest will be uploaded at a later time. Enjoy!
